Mr. Ajit Gunewardene is the Founder and CEO of Bluestone Capital Private Limited. He was the Deputy Chairman of John Keells Holdings PLC and was a member of the Board for over 24 years.
In addition to this he was the Chairman of Union Assurance PLC a leading life insurance provider in Sri Lanka and Nations Trust Bank. He is also the Chairman of Ingame Entertainment Ltd which is a pioneer in esports in Sri Lanka.
He was a member of the Council of the University of Colombo. He has also served as the Chairman of the Colombo Stock Exchange and a member of the Board of the BOI. He is current Chairman of Teejay Lanka PLC and Digital Mobility Solutions PLC (Pick Me) . Mr. Gunewardene has a degree in Economics and brings over 40 years of management experience
With four decades plus in the ICT field starting in a corporate structure for 1 ½ decades and 2 ½ decades as a entrepreneur now Mr. Jit Warnakulasuriya is the Group Managing Director / CEO of Agility Innovation (PVT) Ltd. which is the holding company of all the IT assets held by Mr. Jit Warnakulasuriya. He now has got investors in to the company along with Independent Directors.
The Company has now shifted from an entrepreneurial journey to a fully-fledged corporate company under professional management.
Jit is a first-generation entrepreneur in ICT where the competition is set up today as a group. He runs some of the most strategic and important projects in the country in the BFSI, Telco, personal identification and government sectors. Heading up 800 plus team with multi disciplines has shaken up the local SI industry. His urgency and thirst to learn to become a unique organization is a corner stone of his achievements.
Jit is very clear that humble beginnings of Just In Time Group, through acquisitions and startups of where the group is now.
Mr. Renganathan is the former Managing Director and CEO of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, with over 41 years of banking experience. He has held key positions, including Managing Director of Commercial Development Company PLC and Deputy Chairman of Commercial Bank of Maldives. Notably, he led the acquisition of Credit Agricole Indosuez's banking operations in Bangladesh and served as the Bank's first Chief Risk Officer.
He was an Executive Director on the Board of Commercial Bank for nearly eight years and has been involved with several organizations, including the Institute of Bankers of Bangladesh and the Sri Lanka Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Currently, he is an Independent Non-Executive Director at various companies, including Sunshine Holdings PLC and Hatton National Bank PLC, and serves as a consultant to the Asian Development Bank.
Mr. Renganathan is a Fellow of multiple professional institutes, including the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and the London Institute of Banking & Finance. He has received extensive training in leadership and banking both locally and internationally.
Mr. Mihular was the Managing Partner of KPMG Sri Lanka & Maldives from April 2012 to March 2022 and served as Chairman of KPMG’s Middle East & South Asia (MESA) Regional Cluster from October 2018 to September 2021. He also held the role of Chief Operating Officer for the MESA regional office and was a board member of KPMG’s Europe Middle East & Africa (EMA) Board.
He is a Past President and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in the UK. Mr. Mihular has completed executive education programs at INSEAD, Harvard Business School, and London Business School. He served on the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) from 1996 to 2000 and later on its Standing Interpretations Committee and the IFRS Advisory Council.
Currently, Mr. Mihular is Chairman of Watawala Plantations PLC and Bairaha Farms PLC, and an Independent Non-Executive Director at several companies, including Sunshine Holdings PLC. He also serves as a Commissioner on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission and on the Stakeholder Engagement Committee of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
Mr. Nagpal is a Co-Founder of Bluestone with over 20 years of experience in asset management and equity research across Hong Kong and London. He has served as a portfolio manager at UBS Asset Management, Ellerston Asset Management, and Brevan Howard Asset Management.
Mr. Nagpal holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University as a Chevening Scholar, and an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD as a Misys Scholar.
He began his career at Tata Administrative Service, collaborating on strategic projects with various CEOs of Tata Group companies. Starting at UBS Hong Kong in 1995, he focused on equity research in the automobile, metal, and shipping sectors before transitioning to asset management in London. In 2011, he relocated to Sri Lanka to restructure Expolanka Group's holdings, leading to a strategic sale to Sagawa, Japan after two years.
Ms. Kulasinghe is the Principal Investment Officer at MicroVest Capital Management, a US based impact investment firm. Her role includes global pipeline management, as well as pipeline development, underwriting, transaction execution, and relationship management for MicroVest’s Eurasia portfolio.
Prior to re-joining MicroVest in 2021, Ms. Kulasinghe was the Co-head of Investment Banking at Asia Securities Holdings in Colombo (previously York Street Partners), a firm she joined as a Vice President in 2013. During this time she led strategy, business development, partnerships, transaction execution and talent management.
She has worked with a variety of start-ups, SMEs and corporates in order to determine capital raising viability and investment attractiveness. Prior to this, she held a variety of Investment roles at MicroVest between 2008 – 2013, serving as an Investment Analyst, Associate, and Officer.
Ms. Kulasinghe received a BA in History from Bard College and an MSc in Global Finance from The New School.
Attorney-at-Law with 24 years experience in commercial litigation, Arbitration, Company Law and Intellectual Property Law and have represented variety of clients including multinational corporations, leading Sri Lankan Companies and individuals. Corporate experience in leading ICT companies at Board level and Executive capacity since 2019.
Founder and senior partner of IP Chambers, a leading intellectual property firm in Sri Lanka.
